This page explains what Baseplate stores about you and why. We keep as little as we need to run the site.
Signing in with Discord
We ask Discord for two permissions:
- identify: your Discord user ID, name and avatar.
- guilds.join: to add you to the Baseplate Discord server. We may give you the Verified role there.
We do not read your messages, your email address or your other servers.
What we store
- Your Discord ID, name and avatar URL.
- Your settings: the name shown on supporter lists and whether to hide it.
- Your contributions: amount, what Stripe charged and paid out, date, and any refund or dispute.
- Your downloads: which file and when.
- If you have VIP: your Stripe customer ID, subscription status and renewal date.
- Page views: a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to count each visitor once per day. We delete these after a day.
A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also collects basic, cookie-free traffic statistics.
Payments
Stripe processes all payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what they keep.
Who can see what
Your name and contribution amounts can appear on supporter lists and in the Discord unless you choose to hide your name. Staff can see the records above to run the site. We don't sell your data or use it for ads.
Deleting your data
- In Discord, open User Settings, then Authorized Apps, and remove Baseplate. This signs you out everywhere and removes the Verified role.
- Ask staff in the Discord server to delete your records. We delete them, except payment records we have to keep for accounting, refunds and disputes.
Children
If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission before you pay for anything.
Contact
Questions go to staff in the Discord server. See also the terms.
